ENEAS
2025 Edition
ABOUT ENEAS
ENEAS was a one-night collective exhibition curated by Saisho in collaboration with Eneaverso.
Held in Madrid, it brought together 21 contemporary artists and over 600 guests—including collectors, curators, and critics—in a multisensory journey through eight levels of artistic experimentation: from composition and material to light, texture, and technique. Inspired by the myth of Aeneas and structured around curatorial criteria rather than trends, ENEAS marked a new approach to experiencing and valuing contemporary art.

EVENT RECAP
ENEAS 2025: An inside look
by Carola Dager
Madrid, 2025
On June 17, Madrid witnessed a night that will mark a turning point in the contemporary art scene. The first edition of ENEAS, an artistic experience created by Saisho and Eneaverso, brought together over 600 attendees — including collectors, artists, critics, curators, and members of the press — in a vast brutalist space where art was not only admired but felt. A night without official registration, without an open invitation, has already established itself as one of the most significant events of the year.
More Than an Exhibition
With over 100 works by 21 artists of proven caliber, ENEAS was arranged across 8 rooms, each curated to explore one of the 8 levels of artistic experimentation: formal composition, chromatic composition, material, light, line, volume and depth, texture, and technique. Beyond their aesthetic beauty, each work was carefully placed in dialogue with the next, creating a narrative: what happens when art is valued with depth, not haste. The result was a space for dialogue, interpretation, and attentive engagement.
ENEAS was not merely displayed — it was lived. Inspired by the founding myth of The Aeneid, the event built a bridge between classical tradition and contemporary avant-garde, between destruction and creation, guided by the philosophy of experimentation as a catalyst for artistic value.
A Commitment to Art
The silent auction held during the evening served, for some, as the gateway to their next acquisition. For others, it was a way to value art calmly, with a new perspective and an almost immediate intuition that there is something at Saisho worth paying attention to.
The evening also saw the presentation of the ENEAS Acquisition Awards, an initiative that publicly recognizes collectors who choose to commit to contemporary art through discernment rather than urgency. These are real acquisitions, not symbolic mentions — and a way to give visibility to artistic careers that are growing with substance, not noise.
ENEAS: Setting Trends
“Virgil refounded Rome with the Aeneid, just as Saisho and Eneaverso are doing in the contemporary art world with ENEAS,” stated Carlos Suárez, CEO of Saisho. And that was, without a doubt, the prevailing feeling: that art has ceased to be merely an object of contemplation to become an experience. That a new way of making, seeing, and talking about art is already happening.
Among those present were names such as Ignacio Palomo, Felipe Alayeto, Jesús Tebé, and Sergio Sancho (Urvanity), alongside art professionals, journalists, and cultural figures who are shaping the pulse of the sector today. But ENEAS is not measured by who attended, but by what it provoked — and what will come next. Because this was not an opening. It was a declaration. And those who were there know: this is just the beginning.
