(b. 1988, Alcoy, Spain)
Xavi Ceerre is an artist influenced by mid-20th-century European informalists who seeks the pursuit of a common and universally perceptible beauty and ultimate aesthetics for all human beings, regardless of their cultural background. To achieve this goal, he employs non-gestural artistic creation procedures, drawing inspiration from photographic works such as Martha Cooper’s from the 1970s in New York on children’s paintings (Streetplay), Brassai’s graffiti in 1930s Paris, or primitive murals as fundamental expressions of the inherent beauty in humanity before undergoing domestication by culture.
Xavi Ceerre lives in Barcelona and has developed much of his career in New York. His work is multidisciplinary but focuses on painting and urban art inspired by Hip Hop. Ceerre combines various techniques and materials that contribute to a strong naive character. When facing the canvas, he plays between the conscious and the subconscious, guided by impulses and sensations. He opts for abstract, sincere, and freely interpretable images, exploring the ultimate essence of human beauty before undergoing cultural domestication.

This exhibition is an explosion of expressive freedom, where graffiti, childhood memory, and musical improvisation converge on canvas.
Drawing on urban art traditions, abstract expressionism, and the raw spontaneity of childhood drawing, Ceerre builds a visual language that is both playful and radical. His paintings —dynamic, textured, and often monumental— channel the rhythm of the street and the energy of electronic music into compositions that feel as much lived as they are painted.
This exhibition brought together the works of Xavi Ceerre, Taher Jaoui, and Xavi García in an exhibition that celebrated the raw energy of contemporary painting.
Far from conceptual detachment or formal restraint, this group show explored the emotional and instinctual impulses behind artistic creation —from gestural abstraction and rhythmic composition to the expressive power of color and form. Through different approaches, each artist channeled an urgent, intuitive relationship with the medium, inviting viewers to engage with painting not as image, but as action, decision, and presence.
ENEAS was a one-night collective exhibition curated by Saisho in collaboration with Eneaverso.
Held in Madrid, it brought together 21 contemporary artists and over 600 guests—including collectors, curators, and critics—in a multisensory journey through eight levels of artistic experimentation: from composition and material to light, texture, and technique. Inspired by the myth of Aeneas and structured around curatorial criteria rather than trends, ENEAS marked a new approach to experiencing and valuing contemporary art.
